MESSAGE FROM BEYOND
Update :: Corey
Some folks have been asking whether they can buy the new mind-meltingly fantastic Beyond the Vault set at the Skinny Puppy merch booth on tour. Here is the answer direct from the Subcon Cat:::
The Beyond the vault set will not be at the merch booth at the skinny puppy shows.
However, you may find a character from the series selling limited edition BEYOND THE VAULT box sets for $150 at each show. (These are the very limited special edition box sets w 7cds, but without all the signatures and goodies or poster set that comes online) your mission if you would like to purchase one of these will be to find cEvin, or one of the other subcon artists, and be ready to purchase from them directly). This will happen just before the opening act plays each night. find them and win a special prize. The BananaSloth does not speak english, so all sightings or discussion with the Sloth will have to be by sign language. thanks again, and have fun !

PUPPYFEST '09
Update :: Corey
Citizens around the globe are reporting that Beyond the Vaults are landing at households everywhere, delighting occupants with their sounds of far away worlds and spacebars. Read what everyone has to say on our forum. My copy has arrived just in time to help me get through this rainy sick-day, the BananaSloth whispering in my ear as I type to you.
Meanwhile, Skinny Puppy are diligently preparing for their tour, launching this Friday night. Opening for them on this tour will be Vverevvolf Grehv. Check out their myspace.
Litany will be doing some special things this time around. I can't give away everything but you'll want to keep reading this page as the tour progresses. What I will tell you is that I'll be along on the tour for at least eleven (11) shows this time. I will be attempting to chronicle as much of the city-to-city trek as I possibly can right here on Litany to keep everyone informed and, hopefully, entertained. The tone of these posts will necessarily shift a bit from what you may have grown accustomed to over the years. We shall endure it together.
I will be joining the tour in Chicago, where I will be meeting up with Afra, who has hosted Litany and the forum for years now with grace and awesomitude. From there I will go to Cleveland, Royal Oak, Toronto (where I will once again hug Forum Mod aKagod), Montreal, Worcester, NYC, Philly, Charlotte, Norfolk, and DC. That's all I have definitely planned at the moment but I may head back out for more. Lord knows it pains me to not witness another show in NOLA with our podcast artist, Allen Jaeger, and I have a very tempting offer to ignore my office Xmas party and see the final show in LA.
I usually don't go into such depth about my own plans here. I'm detailing the personal itinerary this time, however, because I know there's just so many of you sprinkled throughout these towns who I've spoken with over the years and whom I'd love to meet. If you're out there and are going to be at any of these shows, please drop me an email and let me know.
Skinny Puppy. Live. Starting in two nights. Get yourself there. No excuses tolerated.

STATEMENT FROM THE BAND
Update :: Corey
The band is aware that there are a lot of rumors and questions going around about the state of the upcoming album. Their manager, Jeff, was kind enough to share this statement to explain what's going on and where they are at:::
So there you have it. Unfortunately the delayed album release is not the best news, but all the whispers and reliable hints are pointing to this tour being nothing short of phenomenal and not to be missed. So do like I am and cash in your vacation time at work to see two and half weeks of shows. This is the one, folks!
I just wanted to attempt to make everyone aware of the current situation that Skinny Puppy is in. Due to the fact that SPV filed for insolvency earlier in the year the new Skinny Puppy LP will not be out in time for the tour. We have been in discussion with SPV and had hoped to find a solution to the mess they have put us in, but it looks as though things will not get sorted out until years end. We have meetings set with them in the near future and I hope to be able to let everyone know that things will be back on track soon. Songs have been recorded and artwork has been worked on and once we resolve the issues we have with SPV we will release them.
None of the issues with SPV will jeopardize this tour. The band is really excited to get out and play and we think this is going to be a tour to remember!!
Everybody in the Puppy camp wants to let you know that we always appreciate the support and we are looking forward to the "In Solvent See Tour" as much as any tour we have ever done.
We hope to see you all out there
Be good
Jeff

CEVIN KEY DJ SET IN LA
Update :: Corey
cEvin Key will be performing one last special DJ set before the upcoming Puppy tour this Saturday at the Church in Downtown LA. Here is how the Subcon Cat describes the set::
For something very inspiring Saturday Night, cEvin Key Dj set live, cut up and scratched with Baseck live, then mixed and dubbed in the front of house by SCIENTIST live.
Beyond the Vault's Sonic Death Rabbit will also be featured, along with, according to the flyer "firedancing, bellydancing, and pumpkin pie pudding wrestling," all of which sounds like a recipe for awesome on this lovely charity evening.
Here's the official release and links to all of the performers:::
Jelly Roll welcomes the new moon with another Fancy Dress Event hosted by The Lady Tigra. On Oct. 17th, the moon is at it's darkest, wild forces roam the night and everyone is cloaked in a veil of secrecy. At a masquerade ball one can never be too sure what lies behind the mask! This Event is a Charity Ball for ACLA, a non-profit, benefiting children in the Echo Park and Highland Park communities. ACLA focuses on guerrilla arts and art parks and isn't too lame to be effective for kids :) aclaparks.org.
Two Floors of performances and DJs: CEVIN KEY (Skinny Puppy, Plateau) and Baseck will lend their dark genius to Scientist's classic dub tracks.....with the legendary SCIENTIST himself at the controls!

COLLIDOSKOPE
Update :: Corey
Cast your mind back to this time last year. Recall the changing of the leaves. Relive the pressure to find a clever Halloween costume. Remember all the fun goings on over at the devlisinmydetails.com site. Well the ohGr team is at it again, this time at wdihtf.com, which I think might stand for "When Did I Hear the Fur?" or "Whispering Digits Indicate Holding Total Freemasons." Or just "Who Do I Have to Fuck?"
Explore the site here and find a link that can earn you a free download of a brand new ohGr track. That's right, you heard right. New ohGr available right now, free. And you can toy with the widget version of their magical typewriter keyboard below:::
